I have been a well respected and very successful German Shepherd breeder for more than 45 years. German Shepherds are my passion and my life’s work. NOT ALL GERMAN SHEPHERDS ARE CREATED EQUAL! To be an excellent breeder takes a lot of knowledge and skill. I have studied genetics, and European / German Shepherd bloodlines since 1976.  Because of this, I am able to produce the very best quality and temperament for my German Shepherd puppy buyers. I want YOU to be happy, and I want my puppies to be happy and in forever homes. 

My life has always revolved around animals. My love for German Shepherds continues to this day, and will continue into the future as well! The wonderful puppies I produce bring me joy, and they have enriched the lives of several hundred people and families over the decades. Many  of my dogs have become service and therapy dogs that improve the lives of their owners in ways you can only imagine.  

  I am very careful as to what dogs I include in my breeding program. I want to be sure the dog does not ‘Just look good on paper’, but that it is an excellent dog in all ways. I studied the German language in college so I could talk to the breeders directly each time I traveled to Germany to select new stud dogs and bloodlines to import back to my kennel.  

I bred Solid Black, and bi-colors (mostly black), as well as the traditional Black red/tan saddle style in San Diego CA  from 1976 until 2017. That is when I simi-retired and moved to Kansas. I continue to breed the BEST SOLID BLACK GERMAN SHEPHERDS IN THE USA and TOP Black/Red Bi Color dogs! No one has ever matched the accomplishments of my foundation sire Vice Sieger, V-Eros vom Athonhof, CDX., TD. BH, SCH 1, SCH 2, SCH 3, IPO 3, KKL1A for life!

I have many accomplishments at the Local, Regional and National levels with my dogs, all home raised, trained and shown by me. We have had so much fun!

We've all seen the ads on TV. You know, the ones that show the lady alone in her home. You see her press the security code in to the key pad to arm the home security system. She screams as the BAD GUY breaks in looking like he is about to rob and assault the woman and her children. The alarm goes off.

Somehow she always has a telephone with in reach and is INSTANTLY called by the security company and is told not to worry, help is on the way as they will notify the local law enforcement to respond to help.

Sounds good, right? Think that is enough? Even IF you have a phone handy....even IF the Security company does call for help immediately....then what? Do you have any idea how long it takes for local Police to get there? Most response times are 10 minures or more. Don't get me wrong, I am VERY pro Police and Military, It takes time for them to come to your aide. Many Police and Military personnel buy my dogs to protect THEIR homes and families.

Your Grunenfeld German Shepherd will adapt to your home and environment. The advantage to raising your puppy with your family is it will bond well to all of you. 

 Your Grunenfeld German Shepherd has been carefully bred from breeding stock that is highly intelligent and very trainable. Yes, puppies are work to raise, but I coach you how to do so effectively. Puppies grow up quickly. Your family and your home security is worth the investment and time you put in to raising your Grunenfeld  German Shepherd!
